John
Anaya
served on the Battleship New Jersey in WWII. He worked at Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the next 40 years. Along the way, he served the Democratic Party in New Mexico in many different ways. He builds these cabinets in a shop that he has accumulated and built in his backyard. His style of woodworking is very close to the original southwest style of the last couple of centuries. He uses dowels and glue for the frame assembly and he and his wife decorate with paint as opposed to the current fashion of carving. But the best thing about it is that he does it just because he likes to, a true craftsman. |
